This is perfection, Helen. You’ve captured this in-between time so well. It’s so true about us being encouraged to look back and forward at this time of year. I do find that hard because it always feels like nothing has changed and we’re STILL in the in-between space. Maybe I’ll ignore all of that this year!! x
Captured beautifully Helen! The in between is an odd place to be, it’s also like you are living two lives within it. The public you: often breezy / cracking on / “keep strong” approach and the private you: easily emotional / isolated / climbing a mountain often in the dark with no idea if ‘this time it’s our time’. Thank you for being a beacon of light in this community, I definitely feel my inner strength grow through such difficult times. 💪🏼
Ugh I am sorry I relate to this so much. I recently read something that said infertility is like working overtime at a company for years and years and then seeing friends who never wanted to join that company or never really thought about it come in for a month and get the promotion you have been dying to get. But who knows what next year holds thank you for some hope and your beautiful words!
